Game boy Nintendo

Hello, I've embarked on a new personal 3D project – the modeling of a Game Boy in a realistic style.

In an effort to keep the polygon count as low as possible while achieving smoothness, I encountered some challenges. To address this, I focused on connecting edges and added a few more edges to the cylinders to maintain a rounded shape. To prevent any disruption to the model's integrity, I created various pieces, simulating the disassembly of the Game Boy.

To achieve a smooth look without resorting to turbosmooth, I selected specific faces and applied smoothing techniques. The rendering was done in Unreal Engine 5, drawing inspiration from product photo lighting setups.

Key takeaways from this project include optimizing the model for lightweight performance in gaming, and ensuring clean wireframes. For the animation, where I incorporated Konami Nintendo's Tiny Toon video, I used Davinci Resolve and employed cropping techniques.
